For the purpose of adding a better technology to their archiving system, IMN News TV which is the government official channel was looking for a genuine solution that is responsible for getting an effective archiving process that is straightforward and simple to use for all types of users yet has powerful features.
The system mainly was consisted of the DNAevolution Server from StorageDNA which provides a way to manage large scale backup and archiving to tape.
This system managed both of the QualStar Q24 Compact LTO tape library, and the EVO Signature Series 8-Bay Storage that was configured with 32 TB, and can be upgraded by adding an EVO Expansion Unit for a total of 288TB per node, and it also includes with ShareBrowser which is an easy-to-use asset management software.
After the huge growth in media assets for IMN News and the flawless usage of this system, an upgrade was requested by them, and we offered them the QualStar Q40 Compact LTO tape library, which is a smart choice as it is providing superior performance and scalability for expanding data storage and long-term archiving requirements. The Q40 system offers capacity scaling from 40 to 280 cartridge slots, and throughput scaling from one to 21 tape drives.
Then, because of the mentioned successful experiences, the same of this system was supplied to the Sport TV Channel of IMN.
